Deportivo Alavés defeated Espanyol 2-1 in a comeback win, climbing up from 15^th to 10^th in the league table. Despite their great win, they’re still only three points above the relegation zone and will have to keep up their good form to avoid it.

Vedat Muriqi scored and assisted to help RCD Mallorca win 4-1 against Sevilla. The three points pushed Mallorca from 18^th up to 14^th place and levelled Sevilla on points. Vedat Muriqi has racked up seven goal contributions in his last five games, as he’s experiencing his best season ever in LaLiga.

Real Oviedo

Real Oviedo recorded their first win since September, as they’re still rock bottom in the league table, but with a little more hope to avoid relegation after winning their first three points in a long time. They’ve got 16 points, two behind second-last Levante (Levante still has a game in hand).

Gerard Moreno

Gerard Moreno scored a brace to secure a draw for Villareal. They’ve been experiencing a bad stretch in their last three games after having lost two and drawn one this matchday. After having had a near perfect first half of the season, their form has dropped and only time will tell if they’ll be able to pick it up again.

Real Betis

Real Betis also completed a comeback to defeat Valencia 2-1 at home. They’re now in fifth place in LaLiga, but still seven points behind Villareal, who still even have a game in hand. Pablo Fornals scored the winning goal, as he’s now up to six goals this season, just one goal shy of his best ever scoring season.
