FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona won their opening match in style, as they beat Elche 5-0 away from home. Their new signings lived up to the hype in their first official match, as Adeyemi scored and Anthony Gordon assisted twice. Raphinha and Fermín both scored a brace, making FC Barcelona the earliest favourites to take the league title home at the end of the season.

Mariano Díaz
Mariano came off the bench for the second time in a row and proceeded to score for the second Matchday in a row. He saved a point for Deportivo Alavés, as they were trailing 0-1 to Rayo Vallecano. The striker has racked up four goal contributions in only his first two games of the season, and it’s safe to say he’s found his form again.
David Soria
David Soria was a wall for Getafe, saving a crucial penalty in the 77th minute against Racing. Thanks to him Getafe would go on to win the game, as Enes Ünal scored the winner just four minutes after Soria’s heroic save. This will serve Getafe as a big turnaround in momentum, seeing as they were coming off a difficult 3-0 defeat against Alavés.

Carlos Espí
After a good season with Levante, the Spanish striker made the big move to Real Madrid and he hasn’t disappointed. Real Madrid’s new signing, Carlos Espí, came off the bench and saved his new club by scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute. He also scored two goals in preseason, and it only took him 10 minutes to score against Espanyol.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored against Málaga to secure a point for RC Deportivo. He’s scored in back-to-back games as he’s playing in LaLiga again for the first time since 2022. Newly promoted side RC Deportivo will be delighted with him, as he’s the only player that has been able to score for them so far.
