Kylian Mbappé
Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick on Matchday 1, leading Real Madrid to victory with the offensive help of Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr. The French striker showed the best version of himself, as he constantly read the plays correctly and knew when he had to assist a teammate and when it was best to try his luck himself. He’s already the frontrunner and favourite to be the top scorer at the end of the season, which would be his third time in a row winning the Pichichi trophy.
Jude Bellingham
Kylian Mbappé wasn’t the only player who shined for Real Madrid, as Jude Bellingham dominated the midfield and assisted twice in Real Madrid’s win. The English midfielder is back to his best, scoring a goal last week and delivering a great performance this week.
Espanyol
Espanyol beat Levante in a comfortable 3-0 win at home with their Roberto scoring a brace and Tyrhys Dolan scoring the third goal of the game. Three very important points for Espanyol, as they ended up losing their following match against Real Madrid.
Deportivo Alavés
Deportivo Alavés also won 3-0, as they defeated Getafe. They scored all three goals in the last 20 minutes of the match, as their clash went right down to the wire. They’ll be looking to capitalise on this great start to the season, especially after they struggled to avoid relegation last season, only finishing one point above the relegation zone.
Kang-In Lee
Kang-in Lee had a dream debut for Atlético Madrid, scoring just 13 minutes after coming on in the second half. Atlético were struggling offensively, as the score was still 0-0 after 70 minutes, but the South Korean winger came up clutch by scoring a beautiful solo goal. This will give Kang-In Lee a lot of confidence, having also lifted the pressure of scoring a goal off him.
