Kylian Mbappé is the most in-form player in the world right now, having scored in all his last nine games. He’s clearly on a mission this season to win big titles for Real Madrid and maybe even the World Cup at the end of the season. His demeanour seems different, as he has taken on a more team-leading role than last season.
He has now climbed up a few spots in the club’s hierarchy due to his exemplary attitude, leading and motivating his teammates to victory. Another big reason for his change in attitude is because a few club legends like Luka Modrić and Lucas Vázquez departed from the club this Summer, leaving room for new players to take up more leadership of the team.

He’s scored 16 goals and has provided 3 assists in 12 matches for club and country, making him average 1.33 goals per game and 1.5 goal contributions per game. These ratios are absolutely absurd and are only matched and even exceeded by Erling Haaland, who has scored 17 goals and provided 3 assists in 10 games for club and country.
Despite this, Kylian Mbappé has still been the better player, as he has brought more to the table in terms of impact and overall performance on the pitch. The French striker is the clear front-runner for this season’s Ballon d’Or, even though we are only in October, and it is too early to be making predictions as to who will lift the award next year.
Having stated the prior, the Ballon d’Or is still an award that’s heavily impacted by team success, and this might have also been an important factor in Kylian Mbappé’s decision to change his attitude and strengthen his desire to make his team win at all costs.
