Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad managed to escape from the Estadio Coliseum with all three points. They scored the opening goal in the first half, but Getafe equalised in the 90th minute, nearly crushing Real Sociedad’s hopes completely. Girona won three massive points, pushing them up all the way from 17th to 13th place in the league table. They won the game 1-0 thanks to a crafty backheel finish from Vladyslav Vanat, who scored his fifth league goal for Girona this season.
Alberto Moleiro
Alberto Moleiro was the MVP in Villareal’s 3-1 win against Deportivo Alavés. He was electrifying and effective, scoring the opening goal and assisting Georges Mikautadze for Villareal’s third and final goal. Luis de la Fuente will have to make a decision regarding whether to call him up for Spain sooner or later, if he’s able to keep up his great form.

Rayo Vallecano beat RCD Mallorca 2-1, going up from 14th to 10th place. A much-needed win for them, seeing as they had failed to do so in the last eight LaLiga fixtures prior to Matchday 19. On the other hand, Mallorca (17th) are now fighting to escape from the relegation zone once again, as they’re only one point ahead of Valencia (18th).

Marcos Alonso scored his first goal of the season, as he slotted in a penalty to win the game against Sevilla in the 88th minute. A truly clutch goal from the defender, especially as he only started to take a few penalties last season. The win helped Celta de Vigo keep up their great form, as they’ve now won four out of their last five LaLiga matches.
