Gonzalo García
With Kylian Mbappé out, Real Madrid turned to Gonzalo García to replace him. It’s safe to say that their decision paid off, as the Real Madrid graduate scored his first career hattrick, including an outrageous volley to score his second goal. His three goals helped Real Madrid to at least not widen the margin between them and league leaders FC Barcelona, as they’re still four points behind their rivals.
Levante
Levante breezed past Sevilla 3-0 away from home and subsequently won three crucial points, as they’re trying to avoid relegation. Carlos Álvarez, Iker Losada and Carlos Espí scored the goals.
Fermín López
Despite only coming on in the second half, Fermín managed to win the game for FC Barcelona, by providing two great assists in the last four minutes of the game. He made the difference in the derby, showing his technical prowess and his explosiveness in full display. He’s making a statement this season, as he’s now up to 13 G/A, just three goal contributions shy of his record from last season.
Borja Iglesias
Borja Iglesias scored a brace to help Celta de Vigo defeat Valencia 4-1. They’re now in 7th place, just two points away from the European football places. Borja Iglesias has already scored 11 goals this season, equalling last season’s tally, having played 14 games less.

Villareal
Villareal struck once again, as they’re now seven points behind Real Madrid, but still have two games in hand. They beat Elche 3-1, as they’re now the 3rd highest scoring team in LaLiga this season. Even if they finished third, it would still be a great feat for the club, seeing as the last time they finished third or higher (they finished 2nd) was in 2008.
