Celta de Vigo

Celta de Vigo stunned Real Madrid away at the Santiago Bernabéu, defeating them 2-0. Williot Swedberg scored a brace in style, finishing Real Madrid off by dribbling around Thibaut Courtois and slotting in his second. Celta are now up to 10th place in the league table after having had a rough start to the season.

Ferran Torres

FC Barcelona beat Real Betis 5-3, with a stellar Ferran Torres who scored a hattrick in only the first half of the game. He’s now scored eleven goals in fifteen LaLiga games this season and is only behind Kylian Mbappé in the race to be the top goalscorer at the end of the season.

Elche

Elche bounced back from their loss to Getafe on Matchday 14, by defeating Girona comfortably 3-0. Rafa Mir scored two goals, and Hector Fort provided two assists, bringing Elche up to 9^th place in the league.

Athletic Club

Athletic Club were victorious over rivals Atlético de Madrid, as Álex Berenguer blasted in the winner from outside the box with his weak foot in the 85^th minute. Athletic Club are now only one point away from being in the places for European football. This was a crucial win for them, especially seeing how inconsistent they’ve been this season.

Villareal

Villareal extend their winning streak in LaLiga to six wins in a row, as they won 2-0 against Getafe at home. They’re in third place, just one point behind Real Madrid, but still have a game in hand, which could potentially put them in second. Although they’ve been exceptional in LaLiga, they’ve been far from it in the Champions League, as they’ve lost five of the six games they’ve played in Europe’s top competition.
