FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona managed to win in style on their return to the Camp Nou. After a two-year wait, the Camp Nou was finally ready, and all the pressure was on the home side to re-inaugurate the stadium with a win. It’s safe to say that they delivered, as they cruised past Athletic Club, scoring four goals and keeping a clean sheet. FC Barcelona are now only one point behind league leaders Real Madrid, who drew against Elche.

Villareal
Villareal have now won their last four league games and are still sitting in third place, just three points from the top. Even though they haven’t been able to translate their great form to the Champions League, Villareal are having one of their strongest starts to a season ever.

Jude Bellingham
Real Madrid found themselves in a tricky situation last weekend, as they were losing to Elche going into the last fifteen minutes of the game. They needed someone to step up, and Jude Bellingham did just that, assisting Dean Huijsen for the first equaliser and scoring the second equaliser himself. Real Madrid still only managed to win one point despite these clutch goals and are now only one point ahead of FC Barcelona.

Atlético de Madrid
Atlético came out on top in a hard-fought match against Getafe. They won 1-0, scoring the winning goal in the 82nd minute. They’ve now won their last five league games and are just four points off the top, despite having their worst start to a league campaign under the management of Diego Pablo Simeone.

Hugo Duro
Valencia were victorious in the “Valencia derby”, as they beat rivals Levante. Hugo Duro scored the only goal of the game with an acrobatic finish in the 79th minute, after having only just been brought on in the second half. This will give the 26-year-old a lot of confidence for his next games, seeing as he hasn’t been getting the playing time a striker would normally want. These were three very important points for Valencia, as they’re now just two points above the relegation zone.
