Robert Lewandowski
The Polish striker was the best player of Matchday 12, scoring a hattrick and delivering a much-needed win for FC Barcelona. The 37-year-old is still proving to be extremely important to Hansi Flick, having scored seven goals for him this season. Last season he scored 42 goals for Barcelona, which seems unattainable right now, but you can never count out one of the best strikers of his generation.

Antoine Griezmann
Atlético’s best player ever once again saved the team from a draw, scoring just seconds after coming off the bench. He then went on to score another in the 80th minute and his goal tally is now up to five goals this season, despite not being the protagonist he’s normally used to being.

RCD Mallorca
Vedat Muriqi scored the only goal in Mallorca’s match against Getafe, giving them all three points and a crucial win to distance themselves from the relegation zone. This win gives them so hope, especially after having lost 0-3 to Real Betis last Sunday, as they face in-form Villareal next matchday.

Alberto Moleiro
Alberto Moleiro is starting to find his rhythm, scoring in back-to-back matchdays for Villareal. The 22-year-old is showing that he should be starting every game for Villareal and is slowly but surely knocking on the door of Spain’s National team. If he keeps on playing like this, he will earn himself his first callup sooner or later.

Girona
Girona won their second game of the season, thanks to Viktor Tsygankov who scored the only goal of the game. This win takes them from the bottom of the table to 18th place, as they’re just one place from escaping the relegation zone. Just one season from having played in the Champions League, Girona’s reality has taken a change for the worst. Hopefully, they’ll get back to playing their best before it is too late in the season.
