Liverpool

After a stretch of inconsistent games, Liverpool bounced back by defeating none other than Real Madrid. The Reds absolutely outplayed the Spanish giants, accumulating up to nine shots on target. The 1-0 scoreline is a bit deceiving, as Liverpool would’ve won by more goals, if it wasn’t for a spectacular performance from Thibaut Courtois. This huge win will give Liverpool the confidence they need, as they face in-form Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.

Victor Osimhen

The Nigerian striker scored a hattrick away against Ajax, cementing himself as the Champions League top scorer this season. He’s up to six goals in just three games in Europe’s top competition, helping Galatasaray win all three of the games he’s played in.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham cruised past Kobenhavn, defeating them 4-0 at home. The game could’ve even been 5-0, but Richarlison missed a penalty in injury-time. A very important win for them, as it takes them only one point behind the top 8. Even though they’d been struggling, drawing the past two games in the Champions League, they managed to bounce back in style.

Luis Díaz

Despite being red-carded and only playing the first half, it was enough time for Luis Díaz to win the game for FC Bayern. He scored a brace in 32 minutes, establishing a two-game goal-scoring streak, seeing as he also scored in the last matchday. He then went on to get sent off in added time, due to a reckless challenge which ended up injuring Achraf Hakimi, but it’s still undeniable that he was one of the best players of Matchday 4.

Phil Foden

Phil Foden led Manchester City to a 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at home, scoring two beautiful goals and showing off his technical prowess in tight spaces during the course of the match. He hasn’t had his best start to a season, but it seems as though he’s starting to slowly catch up to his normal standards. City are now in fourth place of the Champions League table and are looking to qualify for the knockout stages without having to go through the Playoffs.
