Antony
The Brazilian winger was by far the best player of the LaLiga Matchday 11, as he scored two beautiful goals from outside the box and assisted the third, all in just the first half. We all know that he’s capable of scoring great goals, as he’s already proved himself in LaLiga. The only thing Antony has to get better at is performing like this on a consistent basis. He’s racked up seven goal contributions in nine games, but all of them came in just three of those games, meaning he failed to score or assist in six of his nine games. This doesn’t mean he played badly, as football isn’t only about goals and assists, it just means that it would be better for Real Betis if his great performances were more consistently spread out.

Real Madrid
The league leaders proved why they’re on top once again, as they cruised past Valencia in a 4-0 win. Kylian Mbappé scored a brace, keeping up his unstoppable form this season, as he’s the top contender to win the Ballon d’Or, even though it’s still very early in the season. Jude Bellingham scored as well, extending his goalscoring streak to three consecutive games. Today Real Madrid visit Anfield, as they’ll look to avenge their last season loss.

Villareal
Villareal kept up their great form, scoring four past Rayo Vallecano and maintaining third place in the league table. They’ve scored twelve goals in their last three games, without conceding a single one. They’re looking very dangerous this season but haven’t quite managed to make things click in the Champions League yet.

Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad were victorious in the Basque derby, as the match played out to be a five-goal thriller. The teams went back and forth during the 90 minutes, but Jon Gorrotxategi ultimately scored the match winner, which was his first career goal for Real Sociedad’s first team, in injury time. These three points were vital for Real Sociedad, as they’ve gone up from 17th to 14th in the league table, giving them a fair share of reinsurance, as they’re not a team who are accustomed to fighting to avoid relegation.

Óscar Mingueza
Celta de Vigo beat Levante in a dramatic last-minute win, in which Óscar Mingueza was their best player. The right-back scored a great goal from outside the box in the first half and assisted fellow teammate Miguel Román to score the winner in injury time. Celta now sit in 12th place in the league table, slowly pushing away from the relegation zone.
