Jorge De Frutos

Jorge De Frutos is having a phenomenal start to the 2025/26 season, having scored five goals and provided three assists in eleven appearances, earning him his first call-up for Spain. On Matchday 9 he scored a brace, as he haunted his former club Levante in a straightforward win for Rayo Vallecano.

Mallorca

Mallorca managed to take down Sevilla in a comeback win, which has given them three crucial points to escape the relegation zone. They went down early in the first half, but Vedat Muriqi managed to equalise in the 67th minute. They then went on to score two more goals, flipping the scoreboard completely in the span of only 10 minutes. Mallorca haven’t had a great start to the season, but it looks like they’ve finally picked up their form, having won two games out of their last three.

Antony

Antony saved Real Betis from a defeat against Villareal by scoring a brace, including the equaliser in injury time. The Brazilian winger took it upon himself to earn a point for Real Betis after having gone down 0-2 in the 64th minute. Antony is no stranger to last minute goals, as he scored one of the best goals of last season against Espanyol to win the game in injury time.

Ronald Araújo

Ronald Araújo came on in the 81st minute of the game for Marc Casadó, as FC Barcelona were in desperate need of a goal. They were drawing 1-1 against Girona and needed to win the game if they wanted to keep up with Real Madrid in the title race. The Uruguayan defender came on as a striker, something which is not uncommon in the footballing world. Liverpool often send defender Virgil Van Dijk up front when they need a last-minute goal. Centre-backs are often physically dominant and are a good option to score when there are lots of crosses being fired into the box. Ronald Araújo did exactly what they asked from him, finishing a low cross from Frenkie De Jong in the 93rd minute.

Thiago Almada

Thiago Almada scored his first goal for Atlético, after having missed seven games because of a muscle injury. He came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute and scored the only goal of the game just six minutes later. He’s gifted three important points for Atlético, who are now back in Champions League spots.
