Spain remain perfect as they ease through Georgia and Bulgaria
Spain have won all four of their European World Cup Qualifying games, accumulating 12 points, have scored 15 goals and haven’t conceded a single goal. They’re currently the favourites to win the World Cup next year, with Argentina a close second. This international break, they beat Georgia 2-0 and Bulgaria 4-0, keeping up their perfect record and showcasing their dominance in Group E.

England put five past Latvia
England beat Latvia 5-0, as they are also currently perfect in their World Cup Qualifying group. They’ve won all six of their games and have scored 18 goals without conceding one. They’re also looking to be one of the contenders for the title, as the last time they reached the final was in 1966.

Erling Haaland scores another hattrick
Erling Haaland is on fire right now, having scored in all his last 10 games and scored a hattrick against Israel on Saturday. This marked his third hattrick in 12 games in his World Cup Qualifying journey, meaning he now averages a hattrick every four games in World Cup Qualifying. An outrageous stat which sounds fake at first but is actually true.

Cristiano Ronaldo Shatters World Cup Qualifiers Record
Cristiano Ronaldo broke a new record this October, becoming the sole all-time topscorer in World Cup Qualifying history. It was a highly anticipated game, seeing as he had already equalled the record after having scored against Hungary in the international break in September. This time around he failed to convert from the spot against Ireland, and all eyes were on him yesterday, looking to see if he could redeem himself as Portugal faced Hungary to try and secure their ticket for the 2026 World Cup. He indeed lived up to the hype, scoring a brace and setting a new record of 41 goals scored in World Cup Qualifying.

The Netherlands win both their games with a scoreline of 4-0
The Netherlands won both of their games with an identical scoreline of 4-0. They’re now top of their group with 13 points and are looking to book their ticket to the U.S.A. in the next international break in November.
