Atlético de Madrid

Atlético de Madrid won the most anticipated game of the matchday, beating Real Madrid 5-2 in the derby. It was an important win for the home side, seeing as the title might have already slipped away this early in the season if they hadn’t secured all three points. Julián Álvarez shined once again, scoring a brace and leading the team to victory. He’s now scored five goals in the last two games and is second in the LaLiga top scorer table.

Cucho Hernández

“El Cucho” starred in Real Betis’s 2-0 victory over Osasuna. He assisted Ez Abde for the opening goal and scored the second himself from outside the box just 20 minutes later. The Colombian striker has now scored three goals in the last four games, and it seems as if “El Cucho” has returned to his best after an inconsistent first season at Real Betis.

RCD Mallorca

Mallorca managed to gain a much-needed first win of the season against Deportivo Alavés on Saturday. Takuma Asano scored the only goal of the game, which was also his first goal of the season. Mallorca will look to build off this win and try to carry on winning points, as they face a tough challenge in Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.

Lamine Yamal

Barça’s wonderkid Lamine Yamal came back from injury in style, as it only took him one minute on the pitch to assist Lewandowski’s winning goal. He only played 30 minutes, but that was enough to win the game and write the headlines.

Akor Adams

Sevilla achieved their third win of the season, as Akor Adams scored his first goal for the club. He had only just come on in the 69th minute, but it was enough time for Akor Adams to adapt to the game and score the only goal in the 87th minute. This win pushes Sevilla to ninth place in the league table, as they’re on a quest to return to European football next season.

*Matchday 7 isn’t fully complete, as Valencia and Real Oviedo still have to play tonight at 20:00 CET.
