FC Barcelona came back to defeat Real Sociedad and are now top of the league for the first time since Matchday 1. Lamine Yamal started the game on the bench, after having presented the Kopa Trophy he won last Monday to the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys.
The visitors opened the scoring, as Odriozola tapped in a great cross from Barrenetxea. FC Barcelona managed to keep cool heads and equalised just before half-time from a corner kick. Lamine Yamal then came on in the 58th minute, after having missed four games due to injury, and assisted Robert Lewandowski for the winning goal just after being on the pitch for one minute.
The Spaniard delivered another great performance for his club and proved that his time away from the pitch has not slowed him down in the slightest of ways. FC Barcelona managed to hold on to their lead, winning all three points, and overtaking rivals Real Madrid to go top of the league. They played well, but will have to bring up their intensity a bit more, if they want to be victorious at home on Wednesday in the Champions League against the reigning champions PSG.
