15. Serhou Guirassy (BVB & Guinea)

Serhou Guirassy has fit right into BVB’s system in his first season. He shined in the Champions League, becoming the competition’s joint top scorer with 13 goals in 14 matches. He netted 44 goals across all competitions and showcased his consistent finishing. The future looks bright for the 29-year-old striker, as he has now scored 30+ goals in back-to-back seasons for the first time in his career.

14. Cole Palmer (Chelsea & England)

He solidified himself as a world-class player in his first season at Chelsea, and this season has been a continuation of elite performances. Cole Palmer has proved that his favourite games are the finals of competitions, the games where everything is on the line. In the Conference League final, he delivered a man of the match performance, changing the game and providing two assists after having gone down 0-1. In the FIFA Club World Cup final, he was again named man of the match and player of the tournament, scoring a brace and providing an assist. He showed unshakeable confidence while playing and dictated the pace of the attack.

13. Nuno Mendes (PSG & Portugal)

The Portuguese international has proven himself as the best left-back in the world this season. Due to his exceptional defensive abilities and extraordinary sprint speed, Nuno Mendes can join the attack when needed and track back in very little time. He’s had a tremendous season, winning the treble and the Nations League with Portugal.

12. Pedri (FC Barcelona & Spain)

Pedri’s season has been based on consistently outclassing his opponents, always controlling the tempo of the game and creating countless chances, with passes in between the lines. His style of play shows an uncanny resemblance to Iniesta. At just 22 years old, he’s already achieved so much in the game of football and is now the present and future of FC Barcelona’s midfield. He now has his eyes set on next year’s Champions League final, after having been eliminated in the semifinals this year.

11. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG & Georgia)

The Georgian winger made a risky move in January to leave Napoli and to join PSG mid-season. To say his decision paid off would be an understatement, as he managed to win the treble as a starter for Luis Enrique and score in the Champions League final, which is what all players dream about doing. Apart from goals, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia delivered a dribbling masterclass throughout the whole season, keeping his opponents always guessing with perfectly timed fake shots and dribbling with the ball glued to his feet. He’s an example of what players can achieve when they have talent, self-belief and are extremely hardworking.
